Yesterday I went to a photography meetup - it was a bit of a mess. And I underestimated how much walking there would be and how much it would affect me almost 7 weeks post-op. I was exhausted yesterday and today. But it was a good learning experience for trying different locations and about photographing people. We were split into different groups of photographers and rotated models.
I'm discovering that it's moments like this that I prefer to capture. She was a good sport about climbing a shaky fire escape in those heels.
I was the one who spotted this yellow doorway and suggested it as a backdrop.
The Harley Davidson showroom has an awesome '50's style diner, and they were good sports about letting us come in and take pictures.
We went to the nearby rail tracks and kept an eye out for trains. One did go by, but very slowly so we had ample time to scramble to safety.
The leaves in the air are courtesy of the other photographers in the group - we took turns flinging them at the model, who was a good sport.
